Best clutch
Hey Everyone
I'm looking for opinions on best clutch setup. I got a 13 camaro ss With forged Rods and pistons stage 4 cam ported heads and e85. I will be installing a 76mm turbo here pretty soon. The car is driven through town and occasionally at the track. I'll probably be running 10psi with the turbo, I will be doing the necessary drive line and suspension upgrades as need for the turbo set up Thanks! |

I put in a Monster triple disc earlier this year and I love it so far. Rated at 1150 whp I believe and it drives so much better than stock, and no noise from it at all.

Mantic
Hello, good luck with your build! I am running the Mantic triple ceramic clutch. I have 1,000 miles on it and break in was easy. It is light weight so launch rpms have to be slightly higher, it runs smooth and grab is predictable and No slippage!

I have had Mcleod, Mantic and now Spec. The Mcleod and Mantic were twin disk and the Spec is a single disk. On mine, the Mcleod had vibration issue that could not be resolved and I had to stay away from 1400 to 1700 rpms. The Mantic only made it about 5k miles before the spline hubs on the clutch disks warped and would not allow the clutch to travel on the shaft.
I have about 4k on the Spec including dragstrip runs and am real happy. They did not over sell a system for my needs and the clutch feels and drives like factory. I cannot compare warranty support on the Spec as I have not had any issues with it. The other two were not good examples of customer support, |
