What to use to monitor transmission temps?

I have tried handheld OBD2 scanner and a bluetooth OBD2 using Torque and OBDLink. None of them show the PID for transmission temp. Suggestions?

Yeah, there is a gauge pack but apparently they are super hard to come by now.

Not sure the factory 4 pack gauges are 100% accurate like the engine oil temp gauge.

I have apiller mounted Aeroforce dual gauges and 1 of the parameters I have showing is the trans temp, and the 4 gauge cluster trans gauge is off by about 10-20 degrees. So it seems on mine.

Happen to have a model number for your gauge?

Well did some driving around today under different circumstances and paid attention closer to what my trans temp gauges were showing, the console gauge would show 180 straight up, but my Aeroforce would show anywhere between 165-180. The console gauge would move to the right of 180 just barely when the trans temp said 188-190. So quite a bit of temp difference there. When I cruise around at speed for quite a while the console gauge would move to the left of 180, just barely and my Aeroforce would show 145-150.

Here is the model I have in my Camaro.

Thanks man! Looks like it just plugs into the obd2. Easy! Also good information about the gauge pack vs this meter.

You are welcome sir!! Yea, it just plugs into the OBD port and I got the 2 gauge pillar pod from the guy I got the gauges from, but Phastek has them as well... Yea if someone asks a question about something I can help with, I will do my best to get them the answer they need and some facts to back it up. Good luck, oh and those Aeroforce gauges can show A LOT of parameters, you just need to program in what you want to see by scrolling thru them. I have mine set to show 4 different parameters for each gauge.
