Firecrackers sound from car was misfire?

Hey guys, was driving normally and all of a sudden a large firecracker sound came from the car. I don’t know if it was actually me because it sounded like it was behind me and I saw blue smoke coming from another cars tail pipe but just wanted to make sure. I do have long tube headers and run e85. I am tuned as well. No check engine or wierd idle or wierd shift points happened after that noise happened. Was able to drive home normally. First time I’ve heard this since I got these mods on 3 months ago. Any thoughts

I've seen older vehicles collect fuel in the muffler and when it finally ignites, makes a loud explosion. Not sure how feasible that is with these cars, though. Could your tuner possibly be running it a little rich?

Well the car has been sitting there for 4 days with a quarter tank of e85 which was like 2 weeks old. Went and put some new e85 that same morning and after that it made a Loud pop. Maybe that’s what triggered the fuel that was stuck onto the muffler to ignite. I got no check engine or nothing. Runs fine

Allegedly heard a sound... It hasn't been proven.

We were not there. You were there and it sounded like the car behind you. Sure. If your car is not driving any differently and/or is not throwing a code, then it WAS the car behind you. Relax and enjoy.
