Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensor Camaro 2012
I need to replace the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensor for my camaro 2012 45th Anniversary 2SS. What Mhz to choose? Seems like there is different, like 314,9 and 433 Mhz.

You need 315mhz same as 314.9, don't think any camaros got the 433 sensors. Then will need to do a tpms relearn to the car
Go to any competent tire shop and they will get you all setup for a fraction of the cost the dealer will charge. They have after market sensors that cost a 1/3 what the dealer will charge and most likely do the relearn for free when you buy the sensor from them at much lower cost

There are literally a dozen different compatible part numbers. Just make sure they are 315 mhz and you're good. Here are the one's I'm getting when I replace my tires this spring. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HWSBEIE...v_ov_lig_dp_it
And fyi, the 433 mhz is for European cars. Almost all cars sold in the US use 315. |

Owning "FIVE" sets of wheels and now SIX sets of tires I decided it would be a wise investment to purchase my own TPMS diagnostic and service tool. I was able to snag a great deal from an individual out of Virginia. Purchased an Autel TS601 that came with 12 TPMS sensors, all programable to either signal. Once yearly I can go on line and update the tool for all new vehicles.
Activates ALL magnetic, frequency and tire deflation triggered sensors using 125KHz continuous or modulated wave signals Receives both 315MHz and 433MHz signals Reads / writes sensor ID from vehicle ECU Reads / clears codes of TPMS system and resets malfunction indicator light Reads activated sensor data including sensor ID, tire pressure, temperature, battery condition, OE part number, relearn information Reads, records and playbacks TPMS live data, including tire pressure, signal status, temperature, battery status, etc. Retrieves TPMS ECU information Performs actuation tests and special functions Programs vehicle ECU to learn sensor IDs and positions Capable of programming single tires for Chrysler, Renault, and Citroen Checks Remote Keyless Entry (Key FOB) for transmissions Graphs vehicle with 4 or 5 wheels to simplify the diagnostic process Pre-selection process offers faster activation and diagnostics Provides visual and audible responses to confirm sensors are working properly On-screen code definitions Incredibly easy to use with intuitive navigation and step-by-step on-screen instructions Proper LF signal to prevent being fooled by other RF signals Built-in rechargeable Li-polymer battery Automatic power-off to preserve battery life Multilingual support: English, French, and Spanish, etc. Free update on the internet via USB port Ergonomic design features strong housing and protective rubber boot Besides the eight sensors that came with the kit I have 8 of the rubber sensors again programable to both frequencies. I paid $285.00 for the entire kit that had been used "ONE" times. There are less expensive kits but I couldn't refuse this one. In the six months I have owned the kit I have used it several times.
