1LE rims question
Back story first.
I bought my car used, in great shape overall, but one of the rims was absolutely destroyed. Previous owner obviously loved the curb. So, I've been working with the dealership about getting it fixed. They've determined that they cannot make it look new, and it will be an obvious difference between this rim and the others. No bueno. So, they will buy a new rim for me ($700) OR they will stroke me a check for that amount and I can purchase my own rims. I love the 1LE rims and I think they look amazing on these 50th Anniversary cars... That said, Is OEM the only way to go? I know MMR makes a replica set but I'm not sure about the quality. This car will probably never see the track. But I still want quality. Does anyone have any experience with the replicas? I had the Z28 reps on my previous camaro and the fitment was perfect, but the gloss finish left me wanting. Any info is much appreciated. |

I wasn't clear on this point so I apologize. I have stock rims and would like to get the 1LE rims and this would seem to be a good opportunity since they are forking out $700 either way.

Id take the $700 and sell the other 3 wheels. I think MRR is a quality set up others will chime in here about that possibly.

I've seen MMR in person and they look cheap black wheels. OEM without a doubt.

I love my 1LE wheels, I dont think there is an aftermarket option I would ever consider replacing them with.

I have the Z28 replicas on my car and have never had a problem. If you are never going to track it then I say get you a set of replicas. Let us know what you decide
