Time will tell... mine ain’t going anywhere. Maybe in a few more years I’ll jump on a 6th so I can have one of each, I really don’t mind how they look as much as some here. They aren’t a 5th gen for sure but in 1LE and ZL1 trim especially, they are still awesome looking cars to me.

It's all speculation, so anything could happen.
They could make the 7th Gen a diesel hybrid for all we know

I hate to say it but I hope GM does away with the Camaro. I say this because as the generations are only getting uglier. I mean the 6th gen is eh at best and now the refresh of the 6th gen is terrible. I rather GM kill off the Camaro while they are not too terrible to the point we are know for the ugliest muscle car. GM obviously doesn't know how to keep the fan base purchasing since we've gone through this once before in 02

I saw this earlier today. Just the fact that it is being discussed makes my nauseous.
Uhhhg, please don't be true. I just cannot see Camaro making another comeback like it did in 2010. Also, I would like to eventually buy a 6th gen SS/1LE/ZL1, and this will almost certainly inflate the used resale prices. While blame can be partially laid on the fact that the 6th gen just isn't selling like it needs to, I also blame the development hell that the C8 has gone through for making this a possibility. Our hope now rests on the LT1...

Makes me sad to read this. I've owned/driven a Camaro since I was 16 years old. Chevrolet will not be the same without a relatively cheap performance car. Seems the C8 Corvette will be expensive over all trims.

Agreed! The 5th gen is iconic I'll always love it. So before it gets too bad they better call it quits.

After reading the article again, I’m very skeptical this one is legit, I’ll believe it when I see it.

I know it's a complete redesign of the car, but I can't see going from $55,900 to $80,000+ for a base model car. That will absolutely be the end of Corvette if it happens. GM will be out of sports/muscle cars if that's the case. The only thing they'll have left are sports sedans (CTS-V) and who knows how long that would last.
