Ordered a set of Megan Racing EZ-Street Coilovers.

They get great reviews and are fairly inexpensive. We will see how this goes. Now looking at a sway bar kit, either BMR, Detroit Speed, or Eibach.

Go_go pretty much nailed it. Although I didn't have any issues with the boot on my car, I'm guessing it's because the stock shifter in my 2014 is different than his 2010 so maybe the hole wasn't as big. Like he said, nothing was really hard but doing it on jackstands was a major pain in the @ss due to lack of room to maneuver. I had a hell of a time get my rather long arms up in there comfortably to remove the pins on the control arms, the only angle I could do it from prevented me from being able to see what was I doing. It took me nearly 2 hours to do it the first time.... yes, you heard that right.... the first time. lol Somehow I managed to put them in upside down so I had to take them back out and do it again. The good news is, it only took me 20 min. the second time. It took me about 5-6 hours total as well although now I think I could knock about 3 hours off it since I've mastered those damn pins. If there is a next time, it WILL be on a lift.

But after the swap, I can't believe how much more firm/positive the shifts are with this one. It did take longer to install than I would have guessed..but worth it! The strong return takes some getting used to. Had a couple accidental 1-4 shifts when I was just driving lightly. Love slamming this thing though the gears now!

Deciding what knob to get on it!

But really, there wasn't anything super "hard" about the install. It is just very involved and has quite a few steps. Many say the toughest part was probably getting the pins out of the old shifter. But the MGW installation video has an out-of-car transmission and they show you exactly how to release the pins. That helped a lot. It would have taken me forever to figure those out! To ME, the hardest part was getting the stock shift boot back on the MGW grommet. The hole left in the factory boot was much bigger than the grommet, and left me with a lot of extra material to deal with. Kept getting bunched up on one side, or would pull though when we tried to tighten it up. That probably took 45 minutes alone

Start to finish, it probably took me 5-6 hours to complete. This was with jacks and stands in the garage (lift would have helped a lot), and with me being super careful not to damage any of the interior when working inside the car.

I will also say, this is probably one of the best packaged products I have ever had. Everything was well protected, and the kit came with pretty much everything you need. All the parts were labeled well and easy to distinguish. If I ever had to get another camaro, I would get this again without a 2nd thought!
Great info, thank you. I do have a lift so hopefully it helps.

I've been back and forth on all three grills but on a silver or black car the stock grill really isn't as bad as on other color cars and the Heritage is becoming a bit too trendy. I'll probably go with the ZL1 once I stop spending money on things like basement reno, new kitchen, boat, etc.....

ZL1 grille is the most modern looking, and in my book - the best for an early 5th gen.

Heritage looks good too, but more a classic look. This one is second in my book.

Third and last is the stock egg-crate. That thing just looks cheap, imo...

But to each their own.

Took down the temp overhead lines and gave the monsters new cave an 85ft run of underground electric service and gfci breakers. Tomorrow I go back to working on the outlets inside. Everything's going to be 20 amp.

Sooooo glad to be done digging. Sure, save money, use pick and shovel. Eff me. Sounded good in the planning stage though. Too damn old.
