New Metra Dash Kit 99-3028S
New Metra Dash Kit for 5th Gen Camaro's w/ Touch Tronix. This kit is similar to the PAC but looks a lot nicer with laser etching. Works with factory NAV equipped 5th Gen's:

Still has that "Sunken" look. Can't anyone move the opening a bit forward, or at least soften those edges, make it more flowing?

I feel this is more of a flush design, less "after-markety"

What the heck, after all these years we're now getting all these dash kit options? Not that I'm complaining.
Here's a comparison I made incase it helps anybody make a purchasing decision: Quote:

I personally don't care about looking after-markety. Anything will look after-markety on the camaro since the design is so unique. I care more about it looking nice, having all needed functionality, and being a quality product. All these dash kits with the sunken HU just look wrong to me, even though I was about to buy the PAC unit since it was the least ugly. But now I will definitely be getting the maestro.

So far, not entirely sold on this Metra kit. It also looks a little over-stylized for my tastes. But still, good to have another option out there.

After all the issues with previous Metra kits I’m hard pressed to trust this iteration.

Why cant they find a way to mimmick the mylink positioning. its fantastic. I would absolutely love that. Im hoping PACs integration of the elev8 from stinger being molded (not floating) will be nice in our cars.

Because PAC saw very healthy interest in this community due to how stock the RPK5-GM4101 looked, I would not be surprised if they are indeed making a MyLink clone. If you look at the Elev8 and compare it to a MyLink, it's an extremely similar button and knob setup except flipped upside down. They could easily adapt this into a new design and re-use a lot of internal parts.

Sonic guy is off — keeps saying 3rd gen Camaro. Also it does not come with the knobs...
Kinda hard to take them seriously about products/support knowledge if you run into issues. I’d be looking for a different seller. Also, Maestro kit uses the obd2 port - which makes it an issue for those of us who have that port in use. Glad to see more options for sure... Gotta see if Metra has their issues sorted out.. -Don
