Purchased some 17x7 wheels. Tire recommendations?

Lowered an inch. I know stock size is around 28" tall. I want something that looks good, has a nice sidewall (but not alot of sidewall), and won't give me any problems. Here's what I'm thinking:

225/60/17 (27.6")
235/55/17 (27.2")
215/65/17 (28")

Opinions?

I am genuinely curious as to why someone would size down that much both in diameter and width. I've read about certain sizing for a drag setup, but this seems much different. Not trying to nitpick, just curious as to what performance benefits if any there are to this.

The answer is so I can drive to and from the track. Drive on highways.. and not have to replace my tires as often. It will still look good. Smaller tire. Bigger sidewall. More horseponies. More baldeagles

You'll burn threw the tires faster at the track, highway shouldn't see any difference unless your on it. I've been looking at doing a 17 inch setup but sticking with a 305/315. Unfortunately I don't know who makes what in that small of a tire. Maybe some big drag guys can chime in.

The only advantage I see is cheaper tires.

I'm about to buy some 17x7 Darkstars for the front of my car as well.
(either that or ditch them for some Reps)

Ive heard to stay away from the shorter tire sizes. Stay around 28 tall.
