I appreciate all the comments and feedback.

With your help I ordered a 1LE today, (Garnet Red Tintcoat)

My thoughts are if you're actually considering a 1LE over a "plain-ole ZL1", then the 1LE is the obvious choice (assuming the additional money is not an issue).
Agreed. When you start questioning a higher model over a lower model, to me that means you won't be satisfied with the lower model. I personally had no idea the 1LE was coming out back when I got my ZL1. So when I heard about it I got a little envious. But then when I found out it won't be available with the A10 or a sunroof I decided that I would have never bought it because those two were must haves to me. But if those were options and I had the opportunity to get one, then I would have bought the ZL1 1LE.

IMO, if you don't know which one you want, SS Vs. SS1LE, or ZL1 Vs. ZL1 1LE you really want the SS or ZL1 you just don't know it yet.

I purchased the ZLE and will daily drive it. I have been a suspension freak from the begining of time, since I first started driving. I rather have a car that can handle taking turns then a car that has body roll during turns. I just enjoy cars that handle. Bumps and ruff rides do not bother me. I hate the feeling of floating in a car but some people rather ride a Cadillac as their daily. The enjoyment of driving hard is what thrills me so daily driving the ZL1 1LE is no problems at all.

I race the “regular old ZL1” pretty much every weekend at AutoX. At those speeds, ILE doesn’t give you anything aero wise that you can use. The ILE suspection would help but the regular ZL1 suspension is pretty damn good. The 1LE is also classed differently. I don’t find the 2017 or 2018 ZL1 as a consolation prize. It is awesome on bad roads. It is great racing. Still, it depends on what is most important to you. Mostly road courses - ILE. Need the top dog - ILE. Fast street driver- ZL1. AutoX - A Stock - ZL1. A10 - ZL1.

I’m feeling like the A10 with r888 and about 1/2” more width on all 4 corners would take the ZLE. JMO

I was worried about the daily ride of the 1LE, but I like it now that I have it. You have to be honest about what you want and what you like. IMO the 1LE is fine on the street, but I kind of like a harsher ride.

+1 and add the 1LE aero package later if that's the look you want.

will adding the 19" rim/tires to a standard ZL1 make the speedo read differently ?
