Personally, I would not and just run the miles up fast, get the oil and diff changed, brake fluid and then go have a REAL good time.

I have to ask, lots of zl1le cars being traded back to dealers. I haven't been lucky enough to have been in as ZL1LE. But from what I can gather on camaro6, commuting around in a ZLE on public roads isn't for the faint of heart. Most ppl complain the suspensions way way too stiff. OK it's a performance car, that's implied.
My quesiton: Is the suspension really that much more unforgiving then a SS 1LE or are the ppl complaining just a bunch of driving pansies? |

The ride is definitely stiffer than most cars and there is no way to make it softer. THAT is the reason why people might be trading back their 1le. I can't possible think of any other reason.
the car's looks and performance are killer. I would not want to have it as my only car. the stiffness would get annoying after a while. if you have something else to drive around in on the days you don't feel like dodging every single bump on the road then you'll be fine.

I cant wait till I get this thing broke in and on the track. It handles so much better than my 1SS 1LE. The car is amazing.

I drove my 1LE on the interstate once Got caught in traffic and by the time I got home everything from my neck down hurt... But I also had 2 discs replaced a year ago so mostly my fault. But she is tough on ya especially if your roads aren't the greatest. We have a bridge here that you might not want to cross with blown out shocks!!! Anyone who's driven the Bayside knows what I mean That one in particular really sucks in the 1LE but I didn't buy the car for comfort or as a DD. I could never daily a 1LE so props to anyone that does.

I have my car parked in VA with my race team, so if you want to swing by and get a ride just PM me. I will be at Summit Point next month, and VIR in the fall.
I do not see many ZL1's on the road and never saw a ZL1 1LE in the wild. Quote:
