Even if not needed, if you can get some heat out of there, it's not going to hurt

check out Swain Tech. White Lightening. If you're spending the money on headers then just spend the extra couple hundred to get a quality coating. From my research people have experienced a few hundred degree difference after the coating. The exhaust will be more efficient and for every 30 degrees cooler is like 1% increase in hp. Don't quote me on those exact numbers but its around there. Bottom line is your car will make a little more power with quality coated headers.

When I got my 5th Gen SS (mods in sig) I was told the same thing. Coating for standard road monsters that aren't trailer queen type racers really aren't going to see that big of a benefit (that doesn't mean no benefit - it means to benefit from the cost you're adding to get it).

The. other benefit(s) that have yet to be mentioned are protecting the headers, and, great looks. Acids and salts are corrosive to ss, and exhaust gasses are as well to the interiors. Certain parts of the headers get "hotspots", invariably at the bends, and these corrode quicker than the straights. Ceramic minimizes or eliminates these corrosive interactions, extending the life of the headers.
With the cost of headers, plus installation, gaskets, and bolts, I think $300-$400 is cheap life extension. |

The TSP's are made in China, any concerns?

I just received some TSP 2in LTs just yesterday and i am very happy with the quality all around upon my initial inspection of them. Welds all look great, they have the "collector cone" and the connection pipes look good.
Fitment wise, the driver side slid RIGHT in, couldn't have been more easy. Haven't tackled the passenger side yet though.

I have always used ARH, they are pricey but they are good.

Anyone running NO cats, im thinking of deleteing both cats. Basically headers straight to stock muffler.
