Maybe not even two or three years, especially if the 2016 Camaro SS gets rated at 440 or 445.

I've had a rental w/ a ecoboost 4cyl, and I was extremely impressed.

Yeah it sucks that the GT40 (or the more recent GT) is gone. Ford isn't playing the same game that GM is, because they aren't making a true sports car. So, the mustang is playing both the muscle and sports role.

Sorry but the zl1 is not in the same league as the gt500 in straight line. Look at the mph and ET. And its very close to the zl1 on track when its a long course. Anyway. Fact is that GM needs to get serious about their engine.
Why they made a LSA engine? They should have only made an LS9, cost would have been down and Vette would still be 1st in front of heavy caddy and zl1. But GM would be a big player, right now.

Good news is that the LT1 in his original form is already more powerfull than the upgraded coyote, by a lot of torq, especially.

Still, Im hoping GM will come out with a top dog n/a engine of FI for the Camaro, not a detuned engine with a smaller supercharger. IMO, they cannot do this anymore. Were talking about huge HP here...at least 663 and 708 ideally hahah

Leta hope GM dont like to be 3rd...gloves are off!!!

I don't want GM wasting time trying to create a horse power monster... Keep doing what you do best in creating an all around great car..
