CARBON FIBER AUTO SHIFT HANDLE

$156 FOR A THIN STAMPED ALUMINUM PRINTED CAP ON THE SHIFTER.
Mine fell off in 10 miles, I examined it and it is such a cheap piece of crap kinda gets me wondering and the rest of car.
I ordered my car as I wanted it. No Carbon trim interior, the car is Orange so no red interior pieces. It came with the $500 passenger dash and red knee guards. Clashes with my Orange car. Just venting.

Post a copy of your order and the window sticker, so we can see what happened. I can’t believe GM is giving away carbon parts. I’m sure someone will happily trade for your dash and shifter.

It seems to me you got a surprise gift with that $500.00 dash piece but I’m like you the red knee pads would look terrible with the exterior Vivid Orange.

Too bad about the red knee pads, but you should be able to sell them here or on ebay in no time, then get an orange set made for the 2018 Hot Wheels edition.

Faux leather, but our fellow member kropscamaro16 makes red suede counterparts with as much padding as you'd like, hit him up if you need that.

Not real up on posting pics yet. I can from phone but not computer.

The shift piece advertices as carbon but its cheapo aluminum.. Very thin and cheesy.

Yes that is the one. The top aluminum piece is not carbon fiber. It is fitted poorly to the top of shifter and just fell off.

David, that shifter handle is under warranty and you should let GM replace it since your car is new and talk to the parts manager at the dealership and have them order the right knee pads for your ZL1.

But dealership claims they did not order it that way, the changes came from GM.

Still there shouldn’t be any problems getting the right parts for it. You may have to call the GM Customer Service and talk to someone there and tell them about the issues with your ZL1 that it came with parts/options you didn’t order on yours. I’m sure they will work with you to get it corrected.
