Mustang Dyno numbers conversion to Dynojet numbers opinion on my ZL1 A10....
Just had a stage 2 build done on my 2018 ZL1 A10....They gave me (Mustang Dyno) dyno numbers, and they also gave me (Dynojet) dyno numbers. If the Mustang Dyno landed at 580 rwhp, and 570 lb ft, what would you guys say the Dynojet numbers should be?

Really hard to say since all dyno's are calibrated differently. Its not uncommon to see as much as 10% difference between a Mustang dyno and Dynojet, but I've seen some as low as 5% also. You really won't know until you actually dyno on a Dynojet, and even then there's some variation between every dyno, that's why most people use it as a tuning tool or a before and after mods tool.

Does it say on your paper if the numbers are uncorrected, SAE, or STD? Uncorrected being lowest and std highest.

I'd say you'd be somewhere in the 595 to 600 on a dynojet.

Agree with everyone else. Maybe 600whp on dynojet. Curious, what was the stage 2 build?

I will never understand folks this hung up on their dyno numbers. If you take your car to 10 different dynos and tell people the highest number it made the car won't be any faster than if you said the lowest number.

Just post up the dyno sheets. This is second thread you had about your dyno numbers. Yes, I’m curious of the difference, and the fact you have both is great.
But...this thread is like talking to my 6 year old daughter. Dad guess how many fingers I’m holding up behind my back.

What gear was it pulled in? You could see a difference of 40-50whp between a 6th gear pull uncorrected on a MD dyno vs a 7th gear pull STD in 7th gear on a DJ. Ideally you want a baseline before mods to see the gains post mods.

My A10 was dyno'd in 6th gear because they didn't want to exceed 200mph on the dyno.

Ive already discussed this, and explained their dyno vs a dynojet as i dynoed on theirs and 2 dynojets after. Their mustand dyno is roughly 12-15% lower, SAE corrected vs another dynojet. Your probably making 650 on a DJ. |

My car was tuned on Mustang dyno and we did an extra pull to see the difference between 6 and 7th gear. Not much more gain of power, but TQ was dramatic.
6th gear 913/899 7th gear 929/955 These pulls were within about 5 min apart. In the 7th gear the wheel speed was 199 mph.
