2021 SS Shipping

2021 SS Models? Car was built first week of production seems to be sitting. Searching the Chevy site it looks like the ss are on hold?

Thanks, just curious if anyone noticed or has insight to this.

Some dealers already have them on their lots. I suspect that your car is waiting for enough others headed to the same area before it gets loaded.

They don't ship as soon as they're done being built. It isn't Amazon...

I thought it was Amazon, You see my dealer has two already with VINs higher then mine so I assume they were built after mine. So what your cocky reply for that? Obviously there is some reason for a hold.

Cocky? Try levity.

Maybe next time, try including more details about the situation instead of adding them after the fact. You seem to have it all figured out...

My dealer has a couple as well, it seems the ones with the Rally Stripes are not shipping for whatever reason. All the cars I see on the net have the solid stripe or no stripe. That's why I asked

Usually if your car is on hold it’s due to waiting on certain part(s) that are out of sock/backordered to become available. These cars with higher vins are they SS’s or LS/LT’s? You should contact the dealer and have them inquire or Joe with Team Becky D see if he can help give you some insight.

Is it a 1LE? The 1LEs get the hood wrap installed after the car is built. They always take longer to ship. The hood wraps have been taking longer lately. The same applies to cars that get stripes.

2021 shipping is slow right now though. I have 5 that have been built, 3 SS 1LE, 1 ZL1 1LE and a ZL1. None have even moved to 4300 yet.

It's just a 2SS vert nothing special car is at 3800 it seems a delay with Rally Stripes but it could be something else.

It's probably just waiting to get the stripes installed. From what I understand, they use an outside vendor to install the stripes and hood wraps on Camaros. This has always delayed shipping for 1LE Camaros and ones ordered with stripes. It just seems that it is taking longer for them to get installed this year. Probably due to Covid.

My LT1 is at Roush Industries. Not sure what it's doing there. Going to try to call them.

Hopefully it is getting some Roush goodies put on the car. I know with the Ford Raptors that had carbon fiber as an option were delayed when they were being built. It seems your situation is the same based on whatever options you selected.

I was thinking the same.

That’s not cocky for ember. He can show you cocky.
