Who da hell wants all wheel drive in a v8 Camaro?
I have AWD in 3 vehicles, including the AMG. I like it.

Really interesting that these options and survey comes out post Mach E release.

Al O's quick exit from the Camaro team and the delay of gen7 tells us that GM made a quick pivot to the VSS-R platform with a combination of power options.

I don't think it was caused by the Mach E however. I think they are following Ford's delay of the gen7 Mustang as well as lost confidence in the Alpha2 direction based on the CT5, CT4 sales projections.

Skip Alpha2 and pivot directly to BEV, Hybrid and ICE on VSS-R

I always said the only car I would trade in my Camaro6 SS would be a Camaro7 ZL1. If they really offer an AWD ZL1 I'm 100% in.

I love how the Camaro drives with RWD, but once the street is a little wet you are just tire spinning when accelerating a bit fast from a stop. With AWD you can go crazy no matter how wet it is

My naive solution would be AWD with a fully dynamic split between 50/50% front/rear and 100% RWD, using one extreme (full AWD) during launch and dynamically transitioning towards the other (RWD) in real time as much as rear traction allows. The launch AWD split may need tweaking based on weight distribution.

To heck with the weight surplus due to the extra diffs, just add moar powa'.

I'm almost sure this already exists and is available in some car I may never have heard of.

it's exactly what was predicted
the alpha2 cars (cadillac sedans) are placeholders. Doesn't mean they aren't incredible cars.
GM is going to VSS-R and it will have a variant for electric, and also ICE models. It's their transition platform before going all electric.
