Who has plans to keep their new 17 ZL1 long term or will you upgrade??
I have always been one to buy a vehicle & keep for the long duration....this was & currently is my plans with the Fifty A10. However, after now seeing how quickly these sports cars get improved & having the bug, I find myself now in a position to consider upgrading if a snazzy model gave me another itch.
I certainly don't have this same thought process with the 15 Tahoe, which replaced an 05 ZL1 Suburban!! Anything other than a wreck / major mechanical would have to happen to put us in another SUV. |

I'm keeping my ZL1 "Fifty" for a very long time. I'll get other vehicles (currently own 8) but this ZL1 is special in my eyes as I'm 48 and probably not in the market for the "hundred"...

Is there any truth that owning more cars over the amount of drivers causes excessing rates?? We have 3 drivers in the household & I remember when I got the durango, and was going to keep my 99 Tahoe for a hunting rig that my agent said having 4 cars would cause the (individual) rates to jump vs getting rid of the 99?? Something along the lines that all cars would be higher per car with having 4 cars insured vs having 3...maybe I misunderstood?? |

On the border & have a ton of uninsured motorists so sure that has a lot to do with it. Waiting for my 4th quote to come in but don't much hopes for any substantial savings. Is what it is. |

Planning on keeping for a long long time. I will probably get other cars that are better in the future, but I'll keep this one for sure.

I am planning for it to be a long term ride. May sell it when retirement time comes in 12 to 15 years.

I always say I'm keeping them and Team Camaro just keeps upping their game.
Since I let my 2010 Pace Car go and ZL1 #23, this one is probably on borrowed time as well. But really, I'm keeping it forever this time. |

Was thinking I might keep it forever, but who knows. Cars just keep getting better and better. Once they go all electric, I think I'm done. Just don't think I can get into getting rid of that awesome V8 sound. Don't think that'll happen in my lifetime anyway. Not that I'm old at 41. Just don't see gas cars being completely replaced anytime soon. Government mandates could put a halt on more and more horsepower fairly soon though. Hope not, but I could see it happening.

I kept my 2010 until the ZL1 came along. Frankly, I'm hoping to keep this ZL1 forever.

I'm leasing because I'm sure i'll be moving to something else in a few years. Maybe if that 2020 z/28 comes along... Who knows.

I love the current styling of the current ZL1. Definitely 20 years from now, it's style will hold very well no matter what the Camaro will look like. If I were to get it, I would keep it for a very very long time. I think the power is enough too. 650hp/650tq should be more than enough for the average ZL1 person. I really don't care if there is a 900hp Camaro, I believe the current ZL1 power and styling has the best balance. There has to come a point where there is just too much HP for the average driver. Perhaps for you expert drivers, you can handle it. But for me, I think 650hp will be enough to last me a very long time.
All in all, it is the perfect car. |

I'm hoping to keep mine,(when it comes) 50th anniversary and a10, and the only option I added was nav and carbon hood, 30-40 years from now I'm hopping for it to be worth at least what I paid for it. Maybe sell it for retirement? Hopefully it was a investment that's why I didn't go with a ss and pro charge it
