With no rubber in between the openings, it will trap a lot of dirt in between. I wouldn't drill the car, you might not like it long term. Try to use some adhesive 3M band for a while.

Thanks I'll give it a try if a buy it. There must be some type of rubber I could put in between. I don't understand how there are no aftermarkert dead pedals yet.

Here it is the Camaro5 forum I was talking about:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=411761 They have a detailed explanation on how they installed the pedals with rubber in between with or without the screws! The forum is for the ZL1 Gen5 but obviously same idea. The pedals come from the same manufacturer. |

Don't keep us in suspense, what was the painful part and how did you do it? Also, did you order just the dead pedal or the entire set of pedals?

Pedals
Did it awhile ago order camaro 2ss kit when it came with no dead pedal, ordered 2016 caddy Ats kit. had both throttle in my hand same part number on both throttle sensors returned camaro for caddy parts.hard part was getting hand back there to remove washers from behind styrafoam footwell insert. Then line up deadpeddal make 2 new holes through carpet and styrafoam. And then reach in and press washer on new deadpeddal standoffs. Don't think dead pedal comes separate

I drive an automatic and as per Chevy P/N # 84134669 includes only gas & brake pedal.
I went to a local Cadillac dealership to get more info and found it. P/N # 23390862 will include the dead pedal and will fit our 6th gen camaro P/N # 84134669 doesn't include the dead pedal Hope this info helps folks if u plan to order one Last edited by shrini23; 01-13-2018 at 02:50 PM. |

I'd strongly recommend this cover set from our fellow forum member HartfordRacingCaptain: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=525129. You'll find photos in the thread on how the covers look. They're practically OEM quality and and the dead pedal cover is a perfect match, unlike the dead pedal in the Cadillac set (whose shape is slightly different), you get to keep the existing pedals and and the cover kit is much cheaper, too.
