Secondary cats?

He all,

My 18 1SS has the AWE touring cat back exhaust. I believe it’s the resonated one. I feel it could be louder and thought about removing resonators but read that could make it raspier.

My thought now is to see if it still has secondary cats and remove them.

Only thing is I don’t know if they were replaced or what they look like as the exhaust came on the car when bought.

Does anyone have a picture of one? A Pic on the car would be great but even off would be appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.

I recently removed the secondary cats on my ZL1 with stock exhaust. Although a different setup than what you have, it was exactly what I was looking for. The same throaty big v8 sound but a little louder. The secondary cats are about mid way back and are small.

Just look under your car and it's easy to spot the 2nd cats

Here is a pic of mine with them deleted, the shiny new pipes are where the cats used to be

BTW - dont expect a huge difference without them, not really louder, just a deeper tone
