It cost me around $10.00 to $13.00 for the cartridge filter on my Z71 Colorado and my wife’s Jeep Grand Cherokee.

However, I have not found the published BPV pressure setting for the M1-113a oil filter. What little documentation I have found (not from Mobil) indicates the BPV pressure setting is around 15 psi. GM says that for the LT1/LT4 engines, the BPV pressure setting for the oil filter needs to be 22 psi. The AC Delco PF64 and the Wix WL10290xp both meet this requirement along with many other filters. So until Mobil publishes the BPV pressure setting data for this filter, I would not recommend using the M1-113a oil filter on the LT1/LT4 engines. --KLG--

I have a 2018 3.6L and I use the amsoil filter with the oil, I use this as a guide to see compatibility of oil and filters:

Notice that Mobil’s website oil filter cross reference chart states that the M1-113a is the correct oil filter for the 2010 Camaro SS all the way through to the 2020 Camaro SS. Regardless of which V8 engine is used. However, looking at NAPA’s website oil filter cross reference chart and only looking at NAPA Gold: For the 2010 – 2015 Camaro V8 engines, the filter is the 7060 with a BPV pressure setting of 12 psi. For the 2016 – 2020 Camaro V8 engines, the filter is the 100290 with a BPV pressure setting of 22 psi. NAPA’s specification makes sense with a different filter for the Gen6 V8. The oiling systems are different on the Gen6 LT1/LT4 engines compared to the Gen5’s LS3/L99 engines. And NAPA’s BPV pressure setting for the 100290 agrees with what GM states as appropriate for the LT1/LT4. I wish I could find Mobil’s specification for the M1-113a, then I could make a decision about using it. But I don’t see how it is possible that the M1-113a is the appropriate filter for two different engine types with two different oiling systems. Especially since GM makes the distinction that the LT1/LT4 requires an oil filter with a higher BPV pressure setting. Does using an oil filter with too low of a BPV pressure setting do much harm? Probably not, unless you drive in a really cold climate or use too heavy of an engine oil or are prone to flogging your car immediately after start-up regardless of climate. I am not trying to dissuade anyone from using the M1-113a oil filter, I am just explaining why I do not recommend using it. For reference, I attached the GM service bulletin about oil filters. --KLG--

Though I have read their XP line gets their longer life rating by not filtering as well. Buyer beware.

I've been using the WIX WL10290 for a while. The last time I checked only WIX and Fram made filters with the OEM bypass pressure.
