I don't see a power bulge on the hood to indicate the LT4 but it most likely is the LT4. I don't see any mesh behind the front wheels and in front of the back wheels to indicate brake vents.

That splitter is pretty serious looking, though.

The hood extractor looks pulled from the CTS-V. Which is good news if you ask me. The CTS-V hood looks pretty badass and helps differentiate the car from other Caddies. Bet it will look incrediy badass on a Camaro.

Nice! Been wondering when pics might get leaked. Hope this is the next ZL1. Looks promising to me with what looks like bigger brakes, spoiler and hood vent.

I'm hoping GM is gonna make the next Z28 N/A with a 5xx v8 engine AND a ZL1 to fight the GT500/Hellcat Challenger with a LT4 making about 645 hp. If I know GM like I think I do, looking at the fate of the Vette Z06 which used to be a manual, hardtop, N/A engine only for 2 generations and now they have a vert. auto supercharged Z06. If they don't hold up heritage for their halo car, I can't imagine these GM board members who only care about making money and are not car people (they probably don't even drive their own cars) make decisions about the cars we love. Look, I love GM. You could even call me a fanboy but I think what they did to the Z06 and what I'm guessing they'll do to the Camaro is just plain stupid. The only saving grace there is, is that GM usually makes vehicles to fight Ford and Ford made an incredible track car with the GT350/GT350R so hopefully GM will make a rival for it but they don't seem to have an updated N/A engine for the the LT generation of their engine lineup.

Thoughts?

If it's a 2017 my guess would be next spring at the earliest maybe June. But assuming it's a start of 17 model.

I'm still thinking GM will combine the Z28 and ZL1. It will be FI like the Z06 is. This is my opinion. I'm could see them coming out with a more powerful LT1 for the Z28 just not sure they will go that route.

That's what they tried to do with the last gen Z28 but I think a lot of people on this forum to their credit showed their dismay with this move and so they made them 2 separate cars. But I think that's what they're gonna try to do again sadly. Why not just call the Z06 a ZR1?? It makes things so much simpler!

Also, only 1 hipo variant of the Camaro being made only 1 year after the first year it came out, seems weird for a whole 7-8 year generation. It could lead to the Camaro becoming stale and not news worthy anymore besides a facelift or 1LE coming out later. Do you understand what I'm saying? Sometimes I go on and don't make sense to anyone else but myself haha

Yeah I can see a 1LE equivalent come out In a year or two maybe to compete with the GT350. I think the mid year refreshes will help to keep it interesting and appealing.
