Brian Tyson on the east coast installed some. Not sure which version he added or the spring rates.

he said they manufacture complete units both front and rear 44mm main piston and 22mm diameter shaft. The od of the strut body is 52mm and the strut ears are wideneded to allow for wider wheel and tire packages. The rear are aluminum and also use 44mm diameter piston and they have a 16mm or 22mm shaft.

yep, they are great. The strut ears are setup to provide more room between the strut body and the tire. I fit 315/30-18 on 11” wide front wheels under the stock SS fenders.

I won CAM at the Pro Finale, and won STP at the National Championships with the MCS setup last year. They have been rock solid and I’m running them at Nationals again this year in CAM. Swing by and take a look if you’re around.

MCS only makes the dampers. They are designed to be used with standard 2.25" or 2.5" race springs so you need to get plates, springs, and all the other bits. The Ground Control articulated weight jackers for the rear springs are super trick.

My car was the development platform for AR Auto and MCS to develop the setup, so Martin@AR knows exactly what is required. You pick spring rates, or you can go with their recommendation. My car is a serious business autocross machine, so the springs rates I'm using are probably higher than what you'd want if you are spending more time on the street.

At that price point, after you factor in springs, etc.

I would probably go with the DSSV ZL1 1LE upgrade option.

Granted those are fixed, but if you are looking for performance first, that might be the better option.

I emailed Koni in April and this was their response.

Quote:
Thank you for contacting us here at KONI NA. The ‘16+ Camaro is currently on our radar and is being looked out by our European Engineering team. Some recent issues with European suppliers for things such as spring seat stamping and attachment brackets have unfortunately slowed down the development, however we are continuing to look at different options for the continued development. It is not likely that the parts will able by the end of this year, but we are hopeful to have something early 2019.

I think the DSSV is the way to go for shocks. I just wish GM offered some options for spring rates. A few options for street cars would be nice.
