Replacing 2019 taillights - Need to remove bumper?

Hey, new here and look forward to chatting. Need to swap out taillights in my new 2019 convertible. Have tried everything I could but can’t loosen the 2 bolts furthest from trunk opening (already removed the 2 closest to opening) and I’m suspecting that’s because with the 2019 the entire bumper must be removed as it appears the lighting casing hooks under the bumper.

Can someone confirm or share the secret? 0 videos online show how to do it.

Search for it on youtube, plenty of videos. It's the same process as the 2016-2018 models.

I can’t find a single video on YouTube that shows the new 2019 tail lights. Are you sure?

It should be exactly the same. The only thing that changed was th shape of the bumper and taillights, they didn't change the mounting points for the taillights.

So the two nuts closest to the trunk came off simply with a wrench. Then there are two more further away. But those pieces aren’t simply nuts. They are the screw affixed to the back of the taillight housing which goes into an orange plastic anchor looking piece which is on the inside of the trunk and can’t figure out how to get that loose. Tbe 2016-2018 instructions say there’s one further away but yet there’s two and plastic anchors. That’s why I suspect it’s a different setup. Thoughts?

Turns out entire rear bumper had to be removed. Paid a local shop $140 to do it. Looks great!

$140 just to remove the bumper cover and swap the taillights? That is way expensive...it's really not a hard procedure..
