shifting??

does somebody knows if there is any page in the owners manual where you can find the shifting instructions, i try to look at it but i didnt find anything, i was wondering if gm is giving us the correct shifting time?... i have 12 years of experience driving manual transmissions, i just wanted to prove the dealey mechanic that the noise that is comming from the trans or clutch is not cause of the way i shift

Exactly which action during the shift do you think is causing the noise? What does it sound like? Is it easy to replicate?

the sound comes when relesing the clutch when i change gear 1-2 -3 or sometimes 3-2-1 on complete stops, i took it to the dealer and the told me they didnt heard or felt anything and they said they wanted to take a ride with me , but they said it if i dont know how to drive, thats why i started to look for the right shifts "change gear" at the right rpm "if there is something on the owners manual or somewhere from gm. it actually happens at low rpm from 2500 and lower, the sound is like something loose in the clutch or transmission, not sure

Its a common thing with 5th and 6th gen camaro's. both my 2011 and 2016 have the same noise. Check out some post on camaro5 in regards to it its very common.

I was having that same clunky feeling from 1st to 2nd just a short while ago on my way to work. It went away after a few minutes of driving tho. Not sure if the car just had to warm up a bit more since it was cool out and I didn't drive it for a day

I noticed right away that the 1st to 2nd shift felt really notchy. Been playing around, trying to find the best shift to minimize it. Rather than pulling the shifter downward, I've found that pushing with a flatter hand downward lets the shifter pick its own path to 2nd and it's much smoother with hardly any noise or notchiness.

shifting through 2nd gear is a waste of time for most driving.

shifting 1st to 4th (as the car suggests) is annoying as well.

I shift 1st to 3rd nearly 100% of the time... it is very smooth, even at low speed... Even going around corners I leave it in 3rd, engine pulls just fine out of the turn at anything above 15 mph. just try it.

I only shift 1st to 2nd when I need maximum acceleration (if you know what I mean)
