Factory NPP is ~95dB at WOT with the valves open.

I wonder how completely stock cars will be handled if the limit is indeed going to be set to 60dB. Cops can easily harass owners even if technically their cars are legal, ie grandfathered in.

Their going to require you to hold the rpms somewhere while they measure from a certain distance. Only problem is it’s gnna be something like 3-4K rpm.

This exactly. The key point here is IF your exhaust has been modified in any way.
Inspection stations will be required to check your exhaust system.

As for police, I expect it will be interesting when they start checking, and more than half of what they pull over is stock. See how long before this gets out of hand......checking sound levels, and on the side of the road determine if you have modified your system? Good luck with that.....

I am bone stock, will stay that way. Go ahead, pull me over, do it a few times and it will be filing harassment complaint time!

Yes, 95 for bikes, 60 for cars, and measured at 50 feet I believe. Again, only a violation if not stock.

Even a brand new car someone gets in say, October, it is still not applicable as it is not modified.

Crazy times......
