Motor Trend is touting it as the Final Year sendoff like the anniversary edition was for the 2002 4th gen.

I hope they won't release it, because then I'll have to buy one, haha

Put a manual and an LT5 in it, and I'm reserving one yesterday...

Still not sold on the SS headlights. It looks...egyptian to me.

If they're going to make a variant to send the Camaro out with a bang I'd rather they go with with a slightly modernized 1st gen grille and drop all the busy lines.

This looks like an early Z28 concept sketch. Modern Z28s generally share similar features with an SS plus some heavy track-modifications as seen here.

I highly doubt that it would be a ZL1 or ZLE because that would mean that it would get a new fascia on standard ZL1s which doesnt usually happen.

If this were to happen, most definitely a Z28 or a new trim consisting of Blackwing upgraded parts with an LT4 or LT5.

Won’t be a z28. With the vertical LED day light running light and the open grill looks like a modified ZL1 grill

Me personally, i believe if it comes to light, I think it will be the last rwfresh of a ZL model...

The roof, doors, and entire rear (minus spoiler) is an exact match of the current car..... so it definitely isn't a "new" camaro. Anyone that doesn't realize that is way too hopeful.

It would be cool if it was a Z/28, but I think (as one person said before) its pretty obvious that this was a ZL1 refresh idea that they never put money into. The ZL1 was the only model that didnt get the front end refresh, they probably decided that this design wasn't worth the expense given the low volume and dwindling future.

but a send off update would be awesome...... we'll see

The rendering has a SS hood and headlights. The gen5 Z/28 shared the SS hood and new refresh 14/15 front fascia.

This is/was the Z/28 concept sketch. The exaggerated side vents are not manufacturable because they dip in too deep, too high compared to the production ready 19+ fascia.

The gen5 ZL1 carried through the 14/15 refresh only getting the new taillights.

Learn from history.

Mmmmm..... Nah. Just because something happened on gen 5 doesn’t mean it will happen on gen 6. It’s a rendering and hood could have changed. Sad thing is well never know who’s right. Z 28 is a no go.

Question for you or anyone really. You say it has SS headlights. Is there a difference between 6th gen head lights on SS and ZL1?

Guys, it's pretty easy. If they release this sketch on an official channel there is absolutely no chance it will happen. If they wanted to build another Z/28 with this styling they would never release a full sketch of the styling.

Also there was never a ZL1 1LE spotted near Nürburgring recenlty, I don't get where the magazines got that from. The camod ZL1 1LE was seen multiple times in the USA. And on the Z06 Nürburgring tests there was just an non-camod SS model with Chevy plates on the track too, but not the ZL1 1LE.

Mmmmm.....

Do you think that a ZL1 refresh would ditch the unique hood to share one with the SS?

Do you thing the unique hood on the current ZL1 is looks only?

Do you think the concept hood looks like the SS?

Like the gen5, the ZL1 front fascia wasn't updated with the 2019 refresh. The headlights are the old one.
