How much would an e85 tune cost on a 2019 ss?

I was told that starting in the 2019 models, something is coded differently and is harder to crack into with a computer or something along those lines? anyone know more about this topic? its a 10speed if that changes anything

Well, I have a 19 with corn. I'm not sure exactly on the specifics of the all the parameters that are changed (i'm aware of some but not all) but I had a reputable tuner do mine and a 19 wasn't any different price wise. I'm pretty sure the changes are the same.
I have HPT and there was no special unlock other than the credits you purchase to gain access to your PCM via the HPT software. Now the TCM is locked and must be shipped or exchanged with HPT to gain access to it. (along with credits.)
The cost of the the tune is dependent on the tuner. This of coarse can vary depending on how you to choose to tune also. And of coarse you need your flex sensor kit.

Thanks for the info! And yeah i'm probably going to order the kit once I find someone who can tune it

I've seen kits around $350 and tuning $350-500, if you are looking for actual numbers.

The E85 kits range from $200-$400.

Using HP Tuners the ECM tuning credits alone are $200, so most tunes are in the $400-$600. So I would say anywhere from $600 to $1k for the total project of E85 conversion.

No problem and yes if you just do the flex fuel kit and then pay a tuner (on sight) to do your tuning that(KuroOkami's) would be a good estimate. However, if you do remote tuning you will have to have a device to connect to your vehicle to transfer/upload the tune. Most likely an HPT mpvi2 will be your choice which will run you 300 and then you will need 4 credits to gain access to your pcm which is another 200. So going this route you have:
Flex kit.........250-399sh
HPT mpvi2.....300.00
4 HPT credits..200.00
Tuner charge..300-600
(Pending tuners prototcols you may need a wideband)

dont forget, you will need a Wideband O2 sensor if you are going to remote tune. That is about another $250 to $400 for the kit and the gauge pod.

Yah, thats why i put that in parenthesis at the end. Although, not all tuners will demand a wideband if all they are doing is a basic tune and turning on the corn capability of the PCM.
