I think the garnet red is an awesome color. Every Camaro I see in GR looks superb. Hyper blue is good too but it looks more toyish to me and not as rich.

But ANY color IMO is a win if the car is clean. The only color I would never go near is black. Had a black car once and it gets dirty the fastest by far and shows dirt the most by far. Never ever again, not worth it to me unless you don't mind washing it constantly or driving a dirty car frequently.

this is my 1st black car. i gave up on keeping it clean. ill wash is once every 4 times i take it out. it will be just as dirty by the time I get home. I cant hand wash mine because of hard water and bad back. $17 to wash and blow dry at the self serve wash.

I would say Garnet has 3 looks... poppy metallic and shiny in the sun (which REALLY shows off the body lines, very sexy when it's clean), maroon under clouds (admittedly a little blaw), and blood red at night (doesn't look like I have any pics of that, it's a bad ass looking car at night). I wasn't sure about buying a red car but I think the metallic helps me love it. I prefer "expensive looking" over "fire engine" and this color delivers. It does look dirty pretty easily but so do my black metallic cars. Oh well. Here's various pics of it in different lighting. I really dig the pic of my car with the blue one in a parking lot. I'm considering a convertible blue one to go with mine...

I think that color definitely looks best in indirect light. When it's inside, or on an overcast day, it gets that dark red look.

Haha, this thread really went to left field about GRT. I'm shamed to post it, but I think a picture of my front wheels would win this thread.

It was a rough week and I honestly think this is the dirtiest it ever been.

Back above freezing today and she cleaned up nicely.

For the most part I try not to drive mine in the rain and certainly would never take it out in the winter because of all the salt they use in Northern Wisconsin. However, if I'm out and it rains it's just a good reason to wash it plus it's always fun to see how rain runs off the wax job. I also go on the Hot Rod Power Tour and we always get a day or two of rain on that (at least). I can tell you that a Camaro convertible is a lot better prepared for the rain than a good percentage of the cars on the Power Tour !!!
