Put the insurance back on. My plan is to get it out of the storage unit tomorrow and put the new MRR 1LE wheels and front splitter on I bought over winter.

Went down to Liberty Station in San Diego and met up with the WestCoastMaros club, we ended up with 37 Gen 6 and Gen 5 Camaros (34 Gen 6 and 3 Gen 5)... Got a nasty stone chip in the windshield on the way down on the passenger side, I think it can be fixed as it is about the size of a dime... I'm glad that boulder hit the windshield and not somewhere on the paint or PPF... 8,100+ miles and still no stone chips, so I'm very happy, I can deal with the windshield...

If the call ends up being replacement, then by all means go OEM, Captain, with your 2SS you'll need the HUD-specific GM windshield glass. I heard stories of cheaper generic windshields making the HUD blurry of have a ghost image.

I call it Moron Chevrolet. They refused to do warranty work on my car and my mother's car. You are a brave soul. Which ironically was when I had my 2016 A8 with shudder issue. "We can't reproduce the issue."

Well you know what just because you can't reproduce it doesn't mean the issue doesn't exist. I ended up taking it to another Chevy Dealer, and they fixed the issue no questions asked.

Ugh, this makes me nervous, I was driving home after they finished the wrap and I got about an 8" crack on my passenger side from a truck throwing a stone up onto my windshield.....I tried to convince the glass place that will be replacing it (local place not safelite etc) and they said GM uses all types of manufactures so it's hit and miss on their windshields....I just don't want my HUD looking different, thoughts?

I was finally able to participate in the Summit ET Racing Series #5 ( Race 1,2 only had 900 miles , #3 ,4 my sis in town ) .
at Wildhorse Pass MS Park in Chandler Arizona.
A beautiful day it was , I had good luck not knowing how to setup the car, so I left the StabiliTrak an Traction Control on , and Touring mode ( softer suspension for weight transfer) .

Let me back up , my 1st pass I turned both off and Track mode in race , tire pressure 25 psi .
I launched an up in smoke , backed off hit it again ran a 12.72 @ 122 .

So for my 2nd pass everything on , Tour mode , tire pressure 19 psi. ( same setup rest of the day )10am , 65 deg. 11.45 @ 123 mph , 1.81 60ft
3rd pass, 12:45pm 78 deg. 11.59 @ 122 , 1.91 60 ft. RT .007 ( Slowed down due to Temp )
Time to Dial in 11.60 , 2:41pm 82 deg. ran a 11.66@ 121.6 , 192.7 60ft RT .000 perfect lite (ECU pulling timing out, temp.)
2nd round dial a 11.68 ,( ran my friend Pat wasn't planned. ) 4:32 pm 83 deg. I red lit, -.023 RT when I seen the red bulb I back out , the I was back in ran 11.70 @120 .
Had a great time , learning this Car is so much different from the learning curve of the 22 1SS I Raced last year I could run it with everything turned off 19 psi tires 12.17 @ 114 mph.
Lite years different from when I Raced my 68 Camaro SS , it was specifically set up for Drags , suspension, slicks . and so elementary, you didn't half to think .
With the SS and now the Z so much running thru my head , plus I'm 67 now no 22 to 47 when with the 68.
To summarize , if you haven't Drag Raced go try it at least once .

That's true about every part and component, so I wouldn't freak out just yet.

Here's what you should be looking for in the new glass, check the lower passenger side corner. Make sure the replacement is HUD compatible, otherwise the projected image may suffer.
