Much better cooling with it off. I broke a blower belt and it broke the thermostat housing. I was running about 65mph and it was a coolant show out of the heat extractors. Hahaha

Any idea why the belt broke?

It was a Gates RPM belt and they are trash on positive displacement blower. Lesson learned, Gates green HD or nothing. Lol

I thought those RPM belts where built just for supercharged cars? I’ve read the sizing has to be spot on and they have a break in procedure that’s very important since they don’t stretch like a normal belt.

I thought the same. The guys at grip tec was telling me they won’t use them as they always break. Even the guy I spoke to at Gates said they had issues in positive displacement stuff.

Wow! That doesn't make a lot of sense, they need to get on that. I was actually wanting to use one because the vainty side of me HATES the green belt.

And the ugly green belt is the exact reason I bought the rpm. You are not alone!

Last night I washed the car and it does make a bit of a mess under the hood but then gives me a reason to wipe it down as well. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I might make some cuts/modifications to it so that it’s not allowing so much water in but still allow for some release of heat.
