A tire with a more upright and taller sidewall helps, too.
Throwing a 275/40 and a 315/35 on the car closed the gap quite a bit on mine. I originally wanted to lower it, but not after changing from the stock tire.

sorry, scrolled down and saw your pic. Your totally right filled the gap in nice . I wonder how the car handles from the stock tires. I do some high speed road rallies and very spirited driving.

I don't notice any negatives in handling, but then I'm probably not pushing it around corners as hard as you might be. It's fine in straight lines and spirited everyday driving, though. The other thing worth noting is the tires are actually stickier than stock in most conditions, because typical everyday driving was never enough to get enough heat into the stock tires. The few times I did get the stock tires to heat up they stuck like glue, though.
