The GM 3.91 basic kit does not come with bearings, actually I dont think the "full" kit does either.

The bearings they're talking about are the diff carrier and pinion bearings. A 'Full' kit will come with new bearings and shims. A 'half' kit (like what the GM 1le 3.91 gear kit comes with) just has the basics needed to swap the gears into a used SS "pumpkin" while reusing the stock bearings and shims, etc. It comes with all new bolts and gaskets and pinion seal and cover seal, etc.

you will need the pinion bearing no mater what because they stretch when removed. the carrier bearing are like $13 a each

Im pretty sure it will fit as well. But it isa very different rear end. Might not be what you want. Only the Z28 has that style limited slip thing... There are articles online about it.

Most guys want one form a ZL1 the Z28 sucks in the 1/4 mile. All depends on what your doing with the car.

the z28 diff is a direct swap other than the cover has a cooler built into it, so you will either have to cap it off or plumb it in. or buy a ss cover. the breather is also in a slightly different place but no big deal. the limited slip is different from your ss limited slip, it is a torsen, look it up its better in every way. i jump all over it if hes cutting you a deal
edit: that was assuming he is selling his whole differential to you

Yea he is selling me his diff axles and driveshaft. And its pretty much brand new. 37 miles on that set up. And off a m6 as well so thats a plus. As long as it all lines up and i have no issues with it. Then we good. Cost me 1000 bucks US.
