Clear Bra $!
For those of you that have Xpel'ed their entire ZL1, I'm curious how much we all paid. I have a quote from Vancouver's premier 3M installer. Looking at $5750.

Wow I paid 7k to wrap my 2018 ZLE completely in Suntek Ultra Matte.
This included the ZLE wing, I also had the shark fin antenna and door handles done in black matte. I also wrapped matte ppf on top of the black matte hood wrap. I paid about 5k at the same place to wrap my entire Z06.

My quote (also in SF Bay Area) was even more expensive than AB’s. I passed and am going to do a whipple or 2650 instead.

I paid $4,000 for the entire car including the wing Xpel Ultimate and Matte on the hood, splitter, lower rockers and rear diffuser.

Wow! This all just sounds too expensive to me. I’m sure you can have the entire car repainted for 6k so why would you want to pay 6k just for protection. Also I can get my whole car wrapped for about 3k. Wrapping seems to be a better bet. Heck if you wanted you could change the color every 3 years and have a new look.

The first question.....Are you going to hang onto the car? Most folks don't, so why protect the paint for the next owner. You certainly are not going to get any more trade in value, because of the film or that the paint is "perfect". IMHO, no need to PPF an entire car! Do the portion of the car that will potentially get the most abuse, and save your money for more important items.

I’m in Ontario. I paid 6,000 for full vehicle. Mine is the Suntek Ultra. I’m really happy with it. I can’t believe how easy it is to wash the vehicle now.
Bugs and their guts wash off with absolutely no effort. It’s pretty amazing stuff. 5750 is right in the ballpark for the quotes I got for a full vehicle ppf for a Camaro. But I must say, if you can, check out their work on other vehicles. I was lucky to be able to see lots of the work that my guy did. He also came highly recommended by a local exotic car rental place. The Camaro, especially ZL1 front end is a known bitch to do. May wanna see if they have done any 6th Gen Camaros |

I must admit that I am really that impressed by the stuff. Again that’s just me. I’m sure others would disagree. |

Thanks for the response guys. It really is a hard decision to make considering the cost involved. I've owned several Vehicles old without PPF and all of the damage that has been done is always just on the front end. Very rarely have I seen any Rock chips or damage down the side of the vehicle or at the rear of the vehicle or on the roof for that matter. I'm going to be ceramic coating the vehicle anyway so I may just go with the front end and the benefits of the ceramic coating in regards to washing and keeping it clean will save me $4,000. I'd love to do the whole car but it's just too expensive.
