COACHED BY ANDREW LEE TODAY @ NJ THUNDERBOLT

Loading vid to Youtube now. Will update soon...hopefully...Vid is long so be patient as maybe you can learn too!
Anyway its long vid and I sound like an idiot! Some profanity so I apologize in advance. So anyway I drover 5 laps and then we switched seats and man, riding as passenger SUCKS!

So basically I need to work on my braking and how I release the pedal. I need to get off the brakes faster and more progressively.

Also it was great meeting some forum members today! Hey Mike it was nice meeting with you and look forward to doing some more MOE HPDE with you.

Thx for sharing this Nicky Bobby!
I shall view it with much interest later tonight

Proper release of brakes is by far the hardest part of driving controls skill set. Bar none. Here's the hint: the more torqy pads one uses, that harder it gets. By far.
That's primarily why i favour lower and flatter torque pads (and so do many pros btw).

In any case, lookin fwd to watching the vid!!!

He ran 5th gen Camaro and loved the feel of Stop Tech calipers. Did not get into pads but said release rate on them was excellent.

They do make nice gear. But modulation and release qualities are usually about pads. And hence pad manufacturers almost always comment about these characteristics relative to their pad offerings. Some pads excel at it. Some not so much perhaps behaving more like an on/off switch, or giving very dull feedback relative to pedal pressure. Something to ponder in any case.

Well it looks like ive run outta time so watching your vid will have to wait till tomorrow :( Ciao Amigo!

Nice job! How did the Camaro do in terms of temps and heat soak and so on?

Oil never gets above 270 coolant says in check too. Never had an issue. I use Cosworth software and check "extreme numbers"
Oil psi extreme low is never below 36 a d extreme high is 75.

Come sit in my passenger seats and you will yell for sure!

We overlaid his laps to mine and he gets off brakes faster then me.
we switched seats when we pitted in.

This is getting expensive so my Pirelli takes offs were junk after 4 sessions...
Mind you that the had 4/32 when i got them.

I need to try different alignment spec and or need more front aero and car is getting high speed understeer.

See if you can install a rubber dam to help prevent excessive lift. OEM nose defo has one. Didnt see one on your aftermarket one. That could solve it for ya. That's one of the challenges dealing with cheapo aero parts that never saw a wind tunnel.

Based on his comments and the video I'd say that's probably your best bet, some "REAL" front aero!

Other than that sounds like you learned some valuable lessons on how you brake, I seem to have the opposite issue from you: I'm really good on the light braking zone just bleeding off a little speed and not killing momentum too much but I'm terrible on the heavy braking zones :( I think I'm really just being a chicken shit on threshold braking lol I can blast up the uphill S's at VIR with no fear but I get nervous braking hard after the straights...

I think I need some coaching too lol

Two shops local to me that make wings canard splitters etc for race cars. Going to pay visits.

Andrew Lee told me that Pirelli stickers fall off after 5th lap!
