Hey guys what kind of night sights does everyone run here? Looking to get night sights put on my Glock 22 and wanted to get some thoughts on it before I buy some.

I had Meprolights on my G23 for about a decade before they simply couldn't be seen in the dark any more. As I was researching replacements, I discovered that Glock in Smyrna would put factory Glock night sights on for, if I remember correctly, $80 which was about $40 cheaper than buying aftermarket ones that I'd have to install myself or pay to install since I don't have a sight puller.

I called Glock, sent off my slide along with a check that covered the work + return shipping, and it was back in my hands a few days later. I would recommend.

Think I may go with the factory sights. Thanks for the input! Only experience so far with night sights are on my Sig P320. They're suppressor height and so much better than the stock Glock sights. Shame Glock doesn't make factory suppressor sights.

Great bear pictures Frank, thanks for sharing!

I will not set foot in California again unless I absolutely have too.

As far as night sights ..... I have been installing these on most of my handguns lately, good both day and night, even with my aging eyes:

They have some suppressor sights available also, but I have not tried them:

Gun got to my FFL yesterday. Filled out the paperwork last night and dropped it off at the County Clerk's office this morning on my way to work. Two more weeks or so. Though I expect the gun will come in before my new G-Code IWB holster - so no carrying it for a bit.

Wow that really sucks that you have to go through all that.

The grip is textured on the VP9 but I personally like a littler more aggressive or positive grip. Once you decide on the size of the interchangeable panels, consider ordering these : https://talongungrips.com/grips/hk/vp9.html for a squeaky tight grip.

Also, the VP9 was made to run 124 grain ammo hot. It may have an ejection issue with cheep, lightly loaded,115 grain ammo until the firearm has a few hundred rounds through it. Then it will pretty much digest anything.

Can you even carry a firearm in NY ?

Anyone have thoughts on the Blackhawk Serpa holsters? LAPD just banned them for use.

Personally I think they are great and have no issues with them as does most people I know. Personally I don't see why they would ban them. Any issues caused by them is operator error and lack of training.

Have a couple of them and like them, for me they have their place. Cannot help but think possibly, politically motivated or a business deal that did not turn out how they would have liked.

Or maybe they are just offended by Tactical

I've used them since I got into firearms and haven't had any issues as well.

I guess there are horror stories about people releasing the lock and drawing incorrectly and blowing a hole in their leg. I really don't understand how...

I have a few of them. They can be tricky depending on the pistol and at condition 0, and 1 if you go for the safety before clearing the holster.

I use them with 1911's cocked and locked, would never use one with cocked unlocked pistol.

They're also hard on a pistols finish but that's for another day.
