full exhaust and tune for 3000 bucks

ARH HEADERS $1250
TUNE with cable $650
Full exhaust $1200
X pipe $200
HP maybe 30whp
Sound a lot better ?
Is it worth it ?
Turbo not far from that point

Well worth it to some and not even considered by others. You need to be the one to answer that. If you looking for opinions, I say no. I just want a little bit extra to say i have something extra, but I'm mainly just trying to enjoy the car for another 1.5 to 2 years. Then i'll dump around 3G's to get more than just 30 ponies on the big boy.

That is some steep prices right there. You can get SWsfor $700 + $200 midpipes + $400 custom made catback = $1300 and have a full exhaust. Why you would pay over a grand more?

A custom dyno tune is 4-500.

Worth it...yes for the right price. Whoever gave you that quote is raping you. $1200 for a friggin exhaust AFTER the midpipes...wow

IMO- 30 hp is not worth the price, if its just hp your after a cai will give you the maximum return all the other stuff is very small changes, however if you are looking for:

The headers are for a deeper sound - exhaust will add volume to that sound

Tune - it won't do much for adding power. In fact you could do your exhaust change and the Bouch ECM will auto optimize for the change. If you are looking for better shift point and a tighter feel to the shifts then a tune is for you.

Agree with pretty much all except the comment on the headers. Shorty headers and especially long tube headers are proven to provide gains, and most of the time notiable (seat of the pants) gains.

imo that price sounds right man... just depends on the system you choose. Like, ARH headers with High Flo Cat is 1200

Corsa Catback is 1100 (includes X-pipe)
Full Trifecta kit is like 600

Looks like 3 grand is take it or leave it price man. =/ Im looking for the Corsa and ARH now too... so i'd be paying abour 3 grand for my stuff too lol

Maybe, I have not researched extensively. I think based on what i saw, if you have a cai then the headers will provide very little increase.i could be wrong...

If you see some good data please pass it along - i was considering a set of shorties just for the sound...

Wow. 3 grand is half the turbo set up and good for 3 or 4 times the horsepower gain. vs just the exhaust.

But hey, if you have the $$, go for it.

I wouldn't pay that much for those gains.

v8 Cherrybomb catback exhaust $300
CAI 250
BBK ceramic LT 693
NX kit 449
TPS switch 76
Ported/polished intake, t/b 500
Drag radials/rims 700
tune by Trifecta 220

Call me a cheap-ass. I bought the Cherrybomb catback from someone on here that had it on his car less than 100 miles and called it raspy(it got better and better the longer it stayed on the car). The prices are all delivered to my front door. Although I haven't actually ordered the tune, yet, that's the price quoted from a trifecta vendor. He said he hadn't done any of the v6 Camaros, yet, and wanted to get one in his shop. He is giving me a discount to get this one under his belt.
That's $3188.

Skip the full exhaust and call Jannetty racing. I think his package is 2k, don't quote me, and will perform better bc of his tune. If you're on a budget the exhaust is overkill. You won't net any gains. Just a lighter wallet. Jannetty has 700 rwhp with stock exhausts, minus the manifolds.

I only wish this held true for our v6.

Here you go:

Thats far from the price of a turbo done right. This right here will get your car in the low 12's if you can drive it. It got my L99 that only had 370 rwhp down the strip at a 12.4 @ 113. Order it up!

The SCT tuner is awesome. Especially after Ted gets into it. Thats what we use on my car. Just wrap it up and leave it in the glove compartment.
