Great info, thanks. Didn't you say earlier you were thinking about swapping your shorties for LT's? Still looking to get rif of your shorties? If so, shoot me a PM. I might be interested.

Getting a used set may be your only option- I believe JBA has dropped the V6 Camaro shorty from their line-up.
Of course if you find a retailer with a set, demand a discount- "They've been discontinued, ya know!" |

I'm really happy with my JBA axleback exhaust. I really wanna look into getting some headers next and will probably go this rout.
I like the fact a tune isn't involved in these, and I really don't have any future plans to get Trifecta. Excluding the CEL some people had, how does everyone like them? |

Yes, since I was able to cure my leak I've been pleased with the JBA's.
They are longer than the other short headers- you have to cut 8-9'' off the stock midpipe to make room. But they still maintain the cat in its stock location. I got the silver ceramic coated a year ago and they still look brand new. Shorty's also have a unique sound that some people prefer. I'm hoping to pair them up with a set of Solo hi-flo cats next week, and if I run into leak issues again I may not be as complimentary...but I'm hoping for some more power combined with impressive sound. |

I love the sound of mine . I did a before and after sound clip on youtube for people to compare . Much deeper tone after the install.

JBA still offers their shorty headers for the V8 & V6 and would not discontinue those parts. I called and they said they stock tons on the shelf with NO back orders.

I have JBA shorties for about a year and half. I got a cell about a few weeks after install P290 I think cleared it came back a few thousand miles later cleared it again never got it again.
Check for leaks at the flange several times never found anything. Love the sound of them. |

I'm waking this thread up.
For the people that had the CEL come on, how many did it go off eventually and did you have an aftermarket cat-back installed or stock exhaust/mufflers? I just want to get as much info as I can before calling the shop back and telling them I'll wait it out...Also how many had put a tune in place and did not have the issue come back? |
