Has This Happened to You?
Friday, a fairly large dealer in Orlando contacted me to gauge my interest in taking a cash offer for my car. Unless the dealer is prepared to offer me a price that is multiple times what I paid, them I am not interested.
The situation does speak to the state of the Camaro market. I wanted to hear from others on the forum if you received similar inquiries for your cars from dealers.

It hasn’t happened to me but a family friend. They own the Hyundai Palisade top trim. The dealer called them to try and buy the car out. Come to find out that they had a buyer looking to pay an outrageous amount of money for exactly what they had.

My dealer called about a month ago to see if I would sell my ZLE. He had a customer looking for one to take to AZ to race. I wasn’t interested, which is what they figured my answer would be.

The dealer wouldn't say how much they were prepared to offer. They asked to bring my car in. Ironically, this is the dealership where I bought my wife's Blazer. My car was there a few weeks ago when we picked up the wife's car after service.

That's how I ended up trading out of my 2019 6M to the 2021 10A, the dealer I bought the 2019 from sent me a letter & email saying they wanted my trade in and they could lower my payment, while getting into the auto trans. I was like: yeah right, go ahead if you think you can... and they did. Actually gave me original sticker value for it and the purchase couldn't have been easier.
At least that's how that car started out

My husband gets called about 3-4 times a year to see if he'll trade in or sell his truck that we already sold back to that same dealership about 9 years ago.
