Break-In Complete, Fluids Changed, Launch Control Performed!

Got my Camaro 2 weeks ago and she is already broken in...
1600 miles, then I took it straight to the dealer to get engine and diff fluids changed.

Next fired up the PDR and did multiple launches with no lift shift, here is one for your enjoyment...

Did the dealer charge you for diff fluid change? I might have screwed myself out of them.

I mean any car is smooth brand new..... I'm more interested in the performance doing that in 70,000 miles.

My hats off to you I do not have the basketballs to do that ever

Ha!
One thing that surprised me, is how well those tire perform. They broke free very easily messing around on cold days. So I was worried the first time I launched it, I thought I would have my hands full... Nope, spun after I dumped the clutch, then hooked and didn't let go.

You got try it at least once...

If you can't drive the car hard at 1600 miles, then when the hell can you?

True. Mine has almost 1,000 miles on it. Then, oil, diff, and brake fluid (going to SRF) next week with many track events to follow. Starting at COTA next weekend!!!

Exactly. Buy it and drive the piss out of it. Keep up on the fluid changes, always let it get to operating temp before driving hard, and it will last a long time. Plenty of reputable engine builders don't even perform "break-in". Their break-in is on the engine dyno.

This isn't 1960, that engine is basically broken in from day one, and no lift shift cuts spark so there is no over-rev...

Then why did you buy this car? Sounds to me like you bought the wrong car...you gotta drive it like it's meant to be!

You sure that was no lift shifted lol? Didn't sound like it on the audio...no lift shift will usually give a nice loud crack out of the exhaust when done.

The PDR audio doesn't bring all that sound through. Plus, you can watch the gas pedal never move from 100%.

Notice the throttle indicator in the top right of the screen. It never moves off of WOT.
