So I think i’m going to do it by myself and order a stek lite… Is anybody here has expérience, vidéos, and add…to install it… that would be a great thing for me… Thé car has been corrected to receive …but I don’t Know if it can be easy or not… Thé ppf price is about 3000 dollars If you know Better quality/price with another product… It will be welcome Thanks |

I've done a little bit of PPF on my car. Some notes I have is to make sure you use the correct solution for slip(baby soap and water works well) and tack(Isopropyl Alcohol diluted with water). Don't put any waxes or sealants on the car before the ppf because it will make the ppf getting to stick a B****. A steamer may not be necessary, but it could possibly help if you need to stretch the film at all. And finally, the most important tools are a good squeegee, sharp knife, and a steady hand as ppf is hard to cut if you are not doing precut pieces.
It's definitely not going to be easy and I'd recommend either having it done or getting some smaller pieces and practicing first before you dive into the more complicated areas. Also, there may be some small bubbles that you can see after, but those will dissolve in a few days so don't be too worried about those unless they are pretty big. |

If you have never installed vinyl stripes, tint or any kind of film. I would not attempt to do this by yourself. It is really easy to get dirt/hair/dust behind the film. It's easy to get creases and not stretch the ppf enough. It's easy to make ppf look like crap. I've done PPF on three cars now by myself and the first one was just not great. That was even after having experience doing vinyl stripes and tint before. Find someone who will offer a warranty on their work.

I just pulled the trigger on some pre-cut 3M. I can't stand how beat-up my car is getting. OMG...

I did mine myself (except the front nose, paid to have that done) using a precut kit from tintzoom.com. They have very high quality kits and include most of what you need to do the job.

I posted some pictures of my PPF install in the links below. I thought those contemplating a DYI job would be interested to see them

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I did not do the install. I had it done by a well known local shop. I thought the pictures would help you decide if yur wanted to attempt it or not
