Who's ditching a 4th gen for a new Camaro?
Im getting rid of my 98 SS finally. I swore I never would sell it, but once I saw the new Camaro...then my financial situation....I knew there could be only one. The only thing Im really going to miss is the power. My new SS is going to be painfully slower. Plus Im not allowed to touch the internals of the motor until the warrenty is up. Just wanted to see if there were others out there like me that thought they would never give up their 4th gen.

I will if I can ever afford it. The 4th gen will be with me for probably two more years thought - gotta finish law school.

I'm still up in the air about it.
I like the 4th gen, but the 5th gen looks awesome as well. |

I plan on trading in or selling outright my 1997 30th Anniversary Z28 for a new Camaro 1LS RS later in the year. Althought it's a rare car (1 of 572 with the 6-speed and T-Tops) and is in great shape it has 126,000 miles on it, so I won't get too much for it. I love it but I've had it since it was new and it's time for a new one!

I dumped so much cash in my 98ss its not even funny. Only to sell it for 7k. If theres ever even a remote possibility you may sell your car....dont turn it into a drag car. Its not easy to sell a 3 speed auto with no power steering, heat, ac, abs, airbags...ect ect....But it helps them decide when you start it up.n

I'll be honest with you guys, I thought 4th Gen camaro's where the worst ever designed so I think any of you guys that are trading it up is a vast improvement! No offense..

I have not done much to my 1998 Z28. So getting the new 5th Gen will be a big move up. I did take it to the drag strip and ran a best time of 13.3 @ 107. I know that I will miss it. It still runs really good and has never let me down. I think that I may already have it sold - I told the buyer that he would have to wait untill I P/U my new 5th Gen (2SS). He said that would not be a problem. It's really good to know that there are other people in this world that are patient. |

Getting rid of my 4th gen 1998 base won't be as hard as it is for you SS/Z28 guys. But as my first car I have some very good memories in that car. Guess one day its just time to move on.... :(

I will be selling my '97 Z28 just because we don't have room for 6 cars in the drive way and I need the money to add to the down payment or I'll have to wait an extra 6 month.

Selling my 02 Z28, I already have a buyer but we're holding off on the transaction until my 2010 SS is ready. I'm gonna miss her.
