Well, sort of....I just couldn't take waiting anymore, so I bought a Camaro model kit and painted it and striped it the way I want to order a real one. The difference here is that I actually mixed up the Aqua Blue Metallic basecoat from my Dupont formula and mixing system at my bodyshop. (I know, I know, I have too much time on my hands!) I even cleared it with Dupont 7900 clear. I also mixed up a light gray colored sealer to finish the interior like light gray leather. The sealer is a flat finish, so it looks more like "leather". The model kit came molded in a crappy-looking silverish gray with stick-on black stripes. I had my sign shop buddy next door scan the black decals and cut them out in white. I was surprised he managed it considering the pinstripe detail is so fine, but after 2 trys, he got it. So here it is, ABM with light gray leather interior and white stripes...what do you think?

I was on the fence about ABM when I saw it on a HHR, but here it is on a Camaro...and in sun and shade...I think it looks fine. This color has green and yellow and blue tints as well as some blue pearl. In some lighting, it looks more turqouise, but I think it looks good.

Holy Crap you have a lot of free time, but good job. I like the snap together models cause I am way too busy to do anything else.

Funny you ask....I was thinking of doing a few more! What I really wanted to know is what you guys thought of the color on the car...it has been a matter of contention here at Camaro5 for awhile now.

To me the color ABM is a Jeckyll and Hyde. Having only seen pictures of the Camaro in ABM, some look a really cool blue while others look a bit green. I did however see the HHR in the ABM in both outdoor and indoor lighting. It looks too green for my taste and that's why I chose IBM.
