WildHammer MRR 1LE Wheels

Just curious if anyone here has bought the MRR 1LE wheels? I really like the look of the 1LE wheels, but would prefer the true black vs the gun metal grey of the GM 1LE wheels. Was curious if you bought them what you think of the quality of the finish of them.

I have the Z28 version of the MMR replica rims in black for my all season tires, they are well made and finished.

Good to know... Not sure if I'll pull the trigger or not, but I'm highly considering it. Just like the look they give the car. If they will not fit the tires I currently have, then I'll be waiting as my tires are basically new.

+1 for MRR
Had the z28 reps on my 5th gen and they were perfect finish, can guarantee you wont be disappointed.
What size tires are you currently running?

Color is very similar to stock ZLE wheels.

They look absolutely freaking bad ass and would go very well with your HBM paint, see pics below. Yes, I know I should've asked for black wheel weights in the rear, next time I sure will.

Quality and finish are fine on mine except for a little bit of roughness deep in the barrel, plus they are lighter than the standard SS wheels.

Know that these aren't forged, they are "flow formed" and will not withstand as much abuse as the GM (Dicastal) 1LE wheels, though.

Here are those wheels on my 2016 M6 2SS. Great looking wheels, terrible pic.

I have an identical set ready to go on my 2020 M6 LT1.

Yep, those wheels just look sweet. I see you are also able to get the chevy bowtie center caps as well rather then the MRR ones?

So forgive me for not knowing wheel sizes... WildHammer says you can get those wheels in the following sizes

20x10 +23 O/S
20x11 +43 O/S

My tires sizes are

245/40ZR-20
275/35ZR-20

So obviously the 20 is the wheel height. How does the wheel 10 & 11 size match up with 245 & 275? Just trying to determine if I would have to also buy new tires.

Half the reason for going with these wheels is to [have an excuse to] upgrade to wider tires. As you see, I run 315/30 in the rear and 275/35 in the front to stay as close to the OEM rake as I can with PS4S. Stock tires would be stretched on these wheels, which is not only ricer but also not very safe.

Here is a slightly conservative wheel/tire sizing table:

Code:
Rim Min Ideal Max
 5.0 155 165 or 175 185
 5.5 165 175 or 185 195
 6.0 175 185 or 195 205
 6.5 185 195 or 205 215
 7.0 195 205 or 215 225
 7.5 205 215 or 225 235
 8.0 215 225 or 235 245
 8.5 225 235 or 245 255
 9.0 235 245 or 255 265
 9.5 245 255 or 265 275
10.0 255 265 or 275 285
10.5 265 275 or 285 295
11.0 275 285 or 295 305
11.5 285 295 or 305 315
12.0 295 305 or 315 325
12.5 305 315 or 325 335

You should be able to run both, the 245’s up front might look a little skinny on the front, but it should work.
Definitely beef it up to 275 fronts and 295 rears though on your next pair of shoes, it will look much better and give you a little more beef to spare on the sidewalls over the wheels.

Ok... I'd need to update to a wider tire. Not that I am against that, but I think I'll put some more miles on the tires I just put on before I toss them aside. I don't have anything I'd do with the OEM Wheels & Tires. I could sell them, but not sure how easy that would be. I'll probably wear these tires down and then when I need new ones then get the new wheels.

I think I'll probably just put some miles on the tires I have this year and then upgrade the wheels and tires next year. As arpad_m mentioned in his post. I don't want to be unsafe with them and I also don't want it to look silly.

Quick follow-up question. You guys that did get these MRR wheels an put them on your SS. Do they stick out past the fenders being that they are wider then the OEM wheels?
