Would you pick up fast food in your car for co-workers?

I have a hypothetical scenario, I'm curious to know how my fellow 'car people' feel about this:

You drive your car to work. Your co-workers choose mass transit. They decide they want fast food and volunteer you because you have a car (be a team player right..!?!?) This could involve parallel parking in tight urban areas and driving on poorly paved roads.

What would you tell them in response?

Depends on how much I like them. I usually ask if anyone wants food when I go for lunch

Not me. I don't allow people to "volunteer" me for anything I don't want to do. Bring a sack lunch or walk.

If it's cold and rainy and I drove the Highlander - sure, I guess.

If it's warm and sunny and I drove my ZL1 convertible, not a chance. I mean, it takes me close to 20 minutes of driving to get to the Subway that's 1/4 mile from my office (I'm taking the scenic route..). Picking up food for someone else is not on my list of things to do.

rule of thumb - if I fly they buy. If they are buying and I am getting lunch courtesy of them absolutely.

If I am not going out for myself though then tough for them

Since the only things I really drive to work are my truck or my little 03 VW.....sure, I'll pick up food if they are buying!

No food or drinks in my car though. Exception is if I am going to a show and grabbed something from gas station to drink with me. Really awkward to shift with something in the cupholder anyhow though

Since it’s hypothetical...

You quit your job and move to a tropical island relaxing on a beach drinking mojitos and getting massages from topless exotic women twice a day. Drive your car only when you feel like it up and down the coast on beautiful days. Then once a month send your old coworkers a post card with a little note telling them to go fu€k themselves and go get their own damned food.

Since it’s hypothetical...

Nope. I'd tell them "it's nice to want, but call someone who cares".

I probably would do it to avoid being a jerk, but would not like it. After all, my co-workers have given me plenty of rides to lunch meetings because neither of my cars are good for carrying a group, so the least I could do would be to return the favor. Thank God they don't ask me.

I'll occasionally pick up some takeout to bring home for myself or the family, but it goes in the trunk for sure, and when I get back in the garage, I'll leave the trunk opened and lower the windows.
