2000 Status

I have been at 2000 status since 5-11. So that is 10 days now. Should the dealer have gotten notification by now of any constraints? Would GM have accepted the order even though there was constraints? Or do I need to be at 3000 status to be safe from constraints? I hear conflicting info sometimes about if you are at 2000 status then there should not be constraints. But others have said you have to be in 3000 status to be safe? Any insight?

I just checked for any Camaro constraints, as of 2215 Est. There are none listed.

Where do you check that, if you do not mind me asking?

Sorry if I'm wrong, but they definitely seem different to me.

I'm in a similar boat on a similar build placed on 5/12 - (3LT Coupe V6 w RS Package and Carbon wheels) so curious to see what you hear on this.

Constraint information is only available in WorkBench or whatever the new software is called.

The report looks like this...

I will keep you posted for sure! Are you getting the NPP Exhaust or Sunroof?

Would DC Sales be able to look the constraints up?

Nope, although now that I'm reading more about the NPP on here I'm kicking myself a bit for leaving it off. I had the impression that it wasn't really worth it on a V6, but unfortunately didn't do a ton of research on it before placing my order. Now I see that pretty much everyone loves it.

And no on the sunroof - I've never really found myself using it that much, and I kind of prefer the look of the roofline without it.

On another note - not sure if this is a dumb question but does anyone know if constraints are still a potential hurdle if your order is already at 2000 status? Does the constraints choke-point happen at moving from 1100 to 2000, or from 2000 to 3000s?

Derek, did you get manual or auto? The Chevy Performance accessory exhaust sounds amazing if you have a manual trans, but with the AFM valve on the auto, it gets pretty quiet and I would probably recommend going aftermarket. Just a thought.

Could you elaborate on the AFM Valve? Is that what shuts off cylinders? I watched Youtube videos of Automatics with NPP and you could hear the exhaust decently.

NPP is totally different - I was talking about V6 cars without NPP. The AFM valve in the exhaust closes when the engine shuts off cylinders to keep it from sounding weird. The valve is in the exhaust system - one per side.

On a non-NPP V6 auto there are two AFM valves, and on a non-NPP V6 manual there are NO valves. Even though they still flow pretty good, the AFM valves still drop the sound down. I heard them both, and the manual sounds incredible! The auto sounds good, but not near as good. That was in 2016, and I haven't crawled under one and counted valves since, although I doubt it has changed.
