For those who use a Battery Tender

For you guys that have your cars on a battery tender for the winter, how are you connecting the tender? Via the under hood jumper terminal, or directly to the battery.

Under the hood.

I snuck the wires up from the bottom through the hood latch area so I can keep the hood closed and the cover on.

I pulled the stuff hiding the battery in the trunk aside and hooked it up there.

I hooked it up directly to the battery in the trunk. If you run your wire correctly, you can easily close the trunk without pinching the wires.

Well, isn't there a tender LPO option? Where do they say to hook it up? it really shouldn't matter, but using the terminals under the hood would seem far more convenient.

like others... Under the hood. on the fuse block there is a red terminal. I use that and a ground terminal that connects to the front frame like just before the fuse block.

Mine is hooked up to the Terminals under the hood. Wires running through the grill, I would not put the charger in the Trunk! Running the wires into the trunk is OK, I just don't trust ANY charger INSIDE the car anywhere.

In the trunk, directly to the battery. Just personal preference but only with the ring terminal pigtail, never with the alligator clip pigtail.

Negative under the negative jump post and positive on a spare "hot" stud under the "under hood electrical box" cover using the eyelets, run through a grille opening

In the trunk, directly to the battery. Using the ring terminal pigtail with extension cable. The tender sits outside the car. When ready to take out in the spring just disconnect pigtail at battery and tuck behind panel.

Under hood directly to terminals (red under the plastic cap and the specific ground stud attached to support).

I have the "Camaro" one that I had the dealer throw in when I bought the car. I run the wires up through the cowl up front and out near the windshield wipers. Fits great and I can close the hood no problem.

Hooked mine back up today, now that the unseasonably warm spell is over. I have the "brain" resting above the passenger wiper blade with a towel underneath. The wires run under the closed hood to the terminals described above. The plug runs down the outside of the fender with another towel protecting the paint. There's enough play in my car cover even with the tie-down cord attached that the tender plugs into the wall without touching the floor.

This is literally exactly how mine is - down to the towels
