I almost posted a pic very similar to Chutzpah's, but decided not to, who wants to see all these covers and battery tenders, heh. I cleaned her up nicely and detailed the interior, too. Hoping for a short winter

I can relate. Mine is soon to sleep too. Similar cover. Consider FlatStoppers by RaceRamps. I picked up a set and is gonna be very helpful for those tires

I already have nice plastic tiles on the garage floor, so I cheaped out and simply aired the tires up to 40 psi. We'll see in March whether this was sufficient to prevent flatspotting

I can vouch for the Flatstoppers too, they work perfectly.

Hopefully you put some form of anti-seeze in those valve stem caps... There's a reason the OEM ones are always plastic. They look nice, but those metal ones will eventually fuse to the valve stems after being subjected to the elements and will have to be cut off....

Do those stem covers cover all of the exposed metal? The dealership lost two of my four covers so I'm trying to find some replacements. I've ordered 3 different stem covers and none of the sets were long enough to cover them!

Do those lugs require a key to fit over them when you want to take them off? I've been wanting some black ones but I'm also worried about the black scratching off of them.

Maybe try not to park in the ocean, lol.

I've got metal/alu caps on every vehicle I own, never had a single problem. Hell, one of my motorcycles has had the same ones for literally 21 years now.

So far so good without anti-seeze. I've used those black valve stem caps for several years, no issues. I check tire pressures once a month even when the car is parked for extensive periods, so the caps are removed routinely, never a sign of corrosion.

As you can see in the first photo, which I took after I installed the black valve stem nut, but before I re-installed the valve stem cap, the valve stem threads look new.

It helps living out here I suppose, my Camaro has never seen snow and it is not driven in the rain.

The valve stem cap snugs up just short of touching the valve stem nut, you can almost see that in the bottom photo.

If you are looking for something like OEM valve stem caps, Amazon may have what you want, expensive however. These do cover all of the valve stem right up to the valve stem nut, in fact, these are almost too long. I use these on my Corvette:

https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-25858...347829&sr=8-12

For the McGard lug nuts, no key necessary, just a 19mm or 3/4" lug nut socket. I think McGard guarantees their lug nuts not to rust or chip. To be on the safe side, I will not use an impact gun to remove or install.
