so like an idiot

I went a bit beyond my braking point.

All cold and snowy.

My son was with me. Smacked the Brembos, made the turn.

The look on his face was

Next thing he knew was we were pulling in the driveway.
Don't tell my wife.

I waited so long to have a RWD car for this purpose. Back in highschool I used to rip the ebrake of my '94 Camry around every turn

Maybe not YOUR handbrake, but the early years still work like that. Not that I would know or anything...lol

I used to have a '84 Caprice Classic as my first car. The thing would barely break the tires loose on wet pavement, but snow was awesome! Being a stupid teenager actually helped me learn a great deal about driving in adverse conditions as an adult.

Dang never took a old hot rod out to a giant parking lot doing cookies in the snow huh...LOL bet you never hookie bobbed ....hangin on rope pullin yah; its fun in boots whipping around on ice covered snow....LOL Me now even with all season performance radials creeping into gear I hit traction control and a mild fish tail every take off on snow because I have so much low end torque. As the right rear wants get fishy when the torque comes down and countering it is part of learning to drive on snow even with a regular car that's RWD. We now have to worry about our side curtain airbags, hand brakes..... never needed one, it was for hooking up to the fronts to be a wheel stander with old school drums......showing my age..LOL

had a friend that lost control of his highly modded super bee(480 with 3 2vs,headers,4 speed)he went through a drift...turned out it had a fire hydrant hidden in it and busted the radiator.the rest of the car was primer anyway, tweaked bumper just added a little more character.by spring he had lost his DL and was on a moped.

Cars teach you alot of lessons as a teenager. Some are taught in the front seat. ....some are taught in the backseat.
