eforce thoughts...
I have been back and forth about whether or not go cam and heads or blower...
I think I've landed on blower and I think I like the edlebrock… 1. I realize that other blowers might make more power or potential yata yata yata, but I am thinking even a 6 lbs this kit would make me happy. what are the impressions of those who have one? 2. I like the idea of the warranty... 3. what is it like with their 93 octane tune and it was unclear whether or not there was a 91 and 93 octane tune or that was the same. 4. this is going on a stock block 1le with 1 7/8 lt high flow cats and x pipe to stock npp and roto fab, I also have a 95 mm t/b, do I need to worry about my motor, fueling, and do you think I can run their tune with my additional goodies.. 5. I would be thrilled if I actualy see the 580 to the wheels number that they claim, I know its generally lower than that but maybe not with headers intake and t/b.. 6. I like that this blower is almost silent and will allow me to keep my strut brace.... is it really quiet.. 7. can it be ordered in all black (didn't see that anywhere am guessing not..) 8. do you notice the added weight on the nose 9. how badly is fuel mileage affected ...any other thoughts or concerns?

cant speak for the camaro but I have the stage two on my C7 Grand sport. I have kooks headers, no cats and an Akrpovic exhaust. The car makes 567 at the rear wheels, it has a custom tune.
The one for the camaro comes in black if I'm not mistaken, I wanted black but had to settle for the gray because that is the color for the C7. I did not find any issues with added weight and I found the noise to be minimal, mileage is controlled by your right foot... LOL dont get too caught up on the warrenty part it is crap read the fine print... I say go for it. I'm going to do a Whipple this time on my SS just to have two different setups. You should take a look at the Heartbeat before you make your choice.

Is there much of a weight difference between the eforce, heartbeat, and whipple? What about cooling capacity?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS!. x 1000
I started off thinking 550 or so would be just fine and not want nothing over that but man how I wish I could go back and put a little more thought into that one.

If all you plan on running is 6psi then just get a LT4 setup.

Since you have a 1LE, that has the "LT4" low side pump already. You would want to get the LT4 high pressure fuel pump and the LT4 injectors. there is info in other threads for part numbers and such. after that you should be good to go with any of the superchargers. Find a good tuner that has experience with the LT1 & LT4! Ted Jannetty is an excellent remote tuner, but you are rather close to him since you are in NY. Perhaps get ahold of Ted and discuss your project with him, he wont steer you wrong.

I have a SS. I went with the Edelbrock 2650 after a lot of research and taking into account how capable each kit is in it’s delivered form and price. For me I wanted the ability to run a 103 throttle body which is no problem for any of the kits. Some incur extra cost to either port or replace the snout to accommodate the 103. With this in mind I made my mind up to purchase a whipple kit but actually I got a better quote for an Eforce. My advice is to shop around and catch a good price. There are pros and cons to every kit out there. Study it to death and consider the source for all your info. All around it’s hard to beat the Whipple. Edelbrock, due to some issues in the past, focused on cooling a little bit more on their current offering but the actual benefits of their intercooler may be overstated somewhat. Other cooling tricks can be done that will get you a lot more power than the brick design inside the blower. Lastly, I want to say there is quite an advantage with running a Magnuson should you have any issues. They are always quick to offer advise on here which you will not find from the other blower manufacturers. The bashing of kits gets way out of hand sometimes by the brand loyalists but remember all the kits are capable. They are also all well made. Shop around for the best price. Emails and messages could save you quite a chunk off the list price once you have determined the route you are going to go

Very well said I had a Heartbeat on order after the vendor canceling my order and taking over 4 months to get my money back, was pissed over the whole situation so went with another vendor and chose a Whipple this time around . They all are very solid and well thought out.. I am just running the can tune and the Rotofab intake , very pleased so far . I do plan going to a LT-4 fuel system , the 3.50 pulley and a good ECM and TCM tune.
